Expert Workshop on Digital Games for Empowerment and Inclusion


23-24 January 2012 (Seville, Spain)


The workshop brought together a range of experts to build a common understanding of opportunities and challenges in Digital Games for Empowerment and Inclusion as part of the exploratory policy research led by JRC-IPTS in collaboration with the Directorate General for Information Society and Media (INFSO/H3). The basis of the activities at the workshop was preliminary findings of the report on the 'Analysis of the State of Play'.


The aim of the workshop was to discuss lessons learned, key drivers, opportunities and limitations of different approaches, practice and policy initiatives already in place, as well as to define the main issues to be addressed taking stock of existing knowledge and results from the field.
