ANDA Project

The role of ICT in the economic growth and productivity of Andalucía

Overview

Starting date: February 2006
Duration: 6 months

Objectives: The ultimate objective of this project was to measure ICT penetration in Andalusian firms and to assess the contribution of these technologies to economic and productivity growth in Andalusia.

Description: This was the first study of its kind for Andalusia. It relied on the latest methodological recommendations, and allows benchmarking with other regions in the OECD. It yields an accurate picture on how Andalusian firms stand regarding ICT by size, sector or localization. The use of up-to-date data and sound methodologies have ensured that the results of the study are consistent and will thus provide an excellent starting point for further research addressing the impact of ICT in the region in a broader context.
